Al-Azhar of Egypt’s Scholars forbid the closing of the Rafah Crossing

Al-Azhar’s scholars forbid the closing of the Rafah Crossing, the destruction of tunnes, and the prevention of public aid to the people of Gaza.

According to the France Press in Cairo, about 500 scholars of Al-Azhar in Egypt announced that closing the Rafah Crossing and breaking off communication between this region and the outside world is not only forbidden from an Islamic standpoint, but it is counted as one of the greater sins.

The scholars of Al-Azhar clearly requested that the Egyptian government completely open Rafah Crossing and that public aid be allowed to reach the people of Gaza.
